Woman Escapes Tragedy By Minutes After Missing Deadly Air India Flight — Her Chilling Story

Bhoomi Chauhan, a 28-year-old Bristol student, narrowly missed Air India Flight 171 from Ahmedabad to London on June 12 due to heavy traffic. The Boeing 787 crashed minutes after takeoff, killing nearly all 242 people onboard and several on the ground. Bhoomi, stuck in traffic, arrived 10 minutes after boarding closed and was denied entry, a twist of fate that saved her life.

Among the passengers was British survivor Vishwashkumar Ramesh, seated in emergency exit row 11A. He suffered injuries but escaped the crash, which happened about 30 seconds after takeoff. Vishwash lost contact with his brother Ajay, who was also on board. Videos show Vishwash limping away from the wreckage and calling his family in disbelief.

Doctors say Vishwash is stable and recovering in Ahmedabad hospital. Experts note surviving in his seat was highly unlikely due to its location above the wing spar. The incident shocked families and officials, who called his survival a miracle.
