San Diego Fire Ravages 3 Populated Areas – Latest Updates

On January 21, San Diego County responded to three separate fires, prompting evacuations and firefighting efforts. The Lilac Fire started at 1:19 a.m. in Bonsall, burning 85 acres.
It is now 50% contained, with evacuation orders lifted, but some road closures remain. The Pala Fire, igniting at 2:16 a.m. in Fallbrook, was fully contained at 17 acres, with evacuation orders also lifted. The Friars Fire began at 12:32 p.m. in San Diego, burning 3 acres before being contained.
Local agencies, including schools and San Diego Gas & Electric, were affected. Several schools closed, including those in Julian Union and Warner Unified districts. Power outages led to Public Safety Power Shutoffs, and residents were urged to check for updates.
The San Diego Sheriff advised caution on roads as firefighters continued to work, and evacuees were directed to a new shelter.
