Homeless Man Asked Me to Buy Him Coffee on His Birthday — Hours Later, He Sat Next to Me in First Class

Jimmy had always been skeptical about destiny until he met Kathy. Within months, they were inseparable, and he proposed after just a month. Nervous about meeting Kathy’s father, David, Jimmy arrived early at the airport and bought coffee for a homeless man named David, who shared his heartbreaking story of loss. Jimmy was moved and gave him $100.
Later, on his flight to meet Kathy’s family, Jimmy was stunned when the same man, now in a sharp suit, sat beside him. David revealed he was Kathy’s father and had been testing Jimmy’s character by posing as a homeless man. After passing the test, Jimmy was asked to write a letter to Kathy expressing his love for her. David gave him his approval, and Jimmy felt relieved.
At Kathy’s parents’ house, the tension remained until dinner, when David finally gave his blessing. But after dinner, Jimmy found a receipt for the coffee he’d bought earlier, with an additional $100 donation. Kathy revealed that her dad had returned the money Jimmy gave him, a part of his “test” to see how generous Jimmy truly was. Jimmy was shocked but grateful for Kathy’s father’s approval.
