Trump Condemns Vandalism at Scottish Golf Course as “Attack on Civility”

Police confirmed the arrest of 33-year-old Kieran Robson, who has been charged with malicious mischief and released on bail. Two other suspects, a 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman, were taken into custody and later released pending further investigation.

Trump didn’t hold back in his response, calling the vandalism “an attack on civility and the rule of law.” He praised UK authorities for their swift action and vowed to pursue legal action against those responsible. “This resort stands for hard work, success, and Scottish pride,” Trump said in a statement.

The red paint was sprayed across the clubhouse and signage, while areas of the golf course suffered deliberate turf damage. Trump’s team has confirmed that repair work is already underway and that the resort remains open to guests. Security at the property has since been increased.

Trump Turnberry, which the former president purchased in 2014, holds deep personal significance for him due to his Scottish roots. He has invested over $200 million into the property, with ambitions to return it to The Open Championship rota.

The incident has reignited debate over political protest and criminal behavior. While some speculate that the act may have been politically motivated, even critics of Trump have condemned the vandalism as crossing a clear line. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as the investigation continues.
