Former drug addict transformed with drastic $38K smile makeover

Brittany Negler, a 29-year-old from Philadelphia, faced deep grief after the sudden death of her 18-year-old brother. Struggling to cope, she turned to drugs, which severely damaged her health—especially her teeth. As her addiction worsened, she lost many teeth and the rest became badly decayed. When she finally sought help, a dentist told her they were beyond saving and removed all her remaining teeth.

This left Brittany unable to eat properly, and she dropped to just 35 kg (77 lbs). Isolated and hopeless, she feared she might need a feeding tube. Then, she met Dr. Kenny Wilstead, a cosmetic dentist from Texas, who was moved by her story and offered her a full dental reconstruction worth over $38,000.

The results were life-changing. With a new smile and restored health, Brittany gained confidence, began eating properly, and rejoined social life. Her smile marked a fresh start. Now in recovery, she shares her journey to inspire others struggling with addiction and low self-worth.

Her story is a powerful reminder that healing is always possible—and sometimes starts with a single act of kindness.
