Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos Bid Farewell to Live Studio After Over 35 Years

It was an emotional day on Live with Kelly and Mark as the show taped its final episode at its longtime Upper West Side studio on April 1, before moving to a new location downtown.

For 37 years, the studio at 7 Lincoln Square was home to the beloved daytime show, hosting a variety of co-hosts, from Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee Gifford to Michael Strahan and Ryan Seacrest. Kelly Ripa has been a constant since joining in 2001, and now co-hosts with her husband, Mark Consuelos, who joined in 2023.

The move is sentimental for the couple. “Our kids grew up here,” said Consuelos. Ripa added that the studio allowed her to balance motherhood and career at a time when maternity leave wasn’t common. Their connection to the studio goes even deeper—after a brief breakup in 1996, a shared appearance on Live helped reunite them. The day after the show, Consuelos proposed and they married in Las Vegas.

Live with Kelly and Mark now moves to 7 Hudson Square, Disney’s new NYC headquarters, joining other shows like The View and Tamron Hall. Good Morning America will follow later this year.
