Joe Biden shares first words since cancer bombshell

Former U.S. President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. The diagnosis was made after doctors discovered a nodule on his prostate during an examination due to urinary symptoms. The cancer has a high-grade Gleason score of 9, but it is hormone-sensitive, offering potential treatment options.

Biden, 82, shared a message of gratitude on social media, thanking supporters for their love and expressing resilience. He acknowledged that cancer affects everyone and emphasized strength in difficult times.

Support has poured in from both sides of the political spectrum, including from former President Donald Trump, Vice President Kamala Harris, and other public figures, wishing Biden a swift recovery.

Biden’s personal connection to cancer includes the loss of his son Beau to brain cancer in 2015, which led him to launch the “Cancer Moonshot” initiative. The family is currently reviewing treatment options, with further updates expected soon.
