Alan Jackson reveals final show plans after devastating diagnosis
Alan Jackson Bids Farewell to Touring After Health Struggles
Country music legend Alan Jackson, 66, has officially ended his touring career due to ongoing health issues. Known for hits like “Chattahoochee”, Jackson gave his final road performance on May 17, 2025, in Milwaukee, as part of his “Last Call: One More for the Road Tour.”
Jackson revealed to fans that while this was his last tour performance, he’s planning one final farewell show in Nashville next summer — where his career first began.
The decision comes after publicly sharing his battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a genetic neurological disorder that affects muscle strength and balance. Though diagnosed in 2011, Jackson only recently spoke openly about the challenges it causes during performances.

Despite retiring from touring, Jackson isn’t done making music. He continues to write and hopes to release new material in the future. Reflecting on his 40-year career, he expressed deep gratitude for the journey and his fans.

His upcoming Nashville show will be a special, emotional send-off to a legendary career.
