Rosie O’Donnell has officially left the U.S. and moved to Ireland, citing Donald Trump’s 2024 re-election as the main reason. In a viral TikTok posted on May 12, the comedian called the election “very obviously rigged” and said Trump keeps repeating it himself because he “can’t help but tell on himself.”
O’Donnell, 62, who’s had a long-running feud with Trump, left the country just days before his January 2025 inauguration. Now embracing her Irish roots and applying for citizenship, she remains outspoken, accusing Trump of winning unfairly and questioning his mental state.
She also reacted to Trump’s own comments at a rally where he said, “They rigged the election and I became president,” and thanked Elon Musk for his tech support during the campaign.
Although there’s no verified evidence of fraud and no successful legal challenges, O’Donnell says she won’t return to the U.S. until all citizens have equal rights. For her, politics remains deeply personal — and she’s not staying silent.
