Sad Obama family news

Marian Robinson, Michelle Obama’s mother, dies at 86

The Obama family is mourning the loss of Marian Robinson, mother of former First Lady Michelle Obama, who passed away peacefully at age 86.

Robinson, who lived in the White House during Barack Obama’s presidency, played a key role in the lives of her granddaughters, Sasha and Malia, bringing “normality” to their upbringing.

In a heartfelt statement, the Obamas and Robinsons said she was deeply loved by many and that they are unsure how to move on without her.

Michelle called her “my rock,” while Barack added, “There was and will be only one Marian Robinson.” President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden also expressed their condolences, describing her as a loving and kind presence.

Born in 1937 in Chicago, Marian was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her death marks a major loss for the Obama family, with Michelle reflecting, “When you lose your parents, you’re next up.”

The family and many others now honor her legacy of love, strength, and quiet guidance.
